She is a musculoskeletal physiotherapist, a qualitative researcher and an educator. Amy is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Melbourne where she investigates communication in physiotherapy. I interviewed her about her PhD work. Critical physiotherapy podcast

14/01/2016 by Dave Nicholls Leave a Comment

Late last year I spent a very nice hour with CPN member and passionate physiotherapy-reformer Paul Lagerman, otherwise known as The Naked Physio (link).  Paul's website has been using blogging, social media and podcasting as a way to debate our profession for a while now, and he has just published a conversation we had about the past, present and future of the profession and the role that people in the Critical Physiotherapy Network are playing in transforming the profession.  You can hear the entirety of the podcast here or through Paul's site.   … [Read more...] about Critical physiotherapy podcast

From time to time we profile a member of the Critical Physiotherapy Network to find out more about them and their work. Pia is one of our non-physiotherapist members whose work closely aligns with the goals of the CPN. Interview with Wenche Bjorbækmo

12/10/2015 by Dave Nicholls Leave a Comment

Every so often we profile a member of the Critical Physiotherapy Network to find out a bit more about them and their work.  In this 'interview' we asked Wenche Bjorbækmo about the inspiration behind her research. Interview with Clare Kell

22/10/2014 by Dave Nicholls Leave a Comment

As part of our 'interview' series with people in the Critical Physiotherapy Network, I asked Clare Kell some questions about her approach to physiotherapy, research and life in general. Clare was the author of a paper titled 'Making practice education visible: Challenging assumptions about the patient's place in placement environments' (International Journal of Therapy and Rehabilitation, 21(8), 359-366). Clare is a Senior Lecturer and Programme Lead at Cardiff University in Wales (KellC@cardiff.ac.uk). You can find Clare's CPN member profile here Where does your interest in health care education - and particularly patient-centred care in physiotherapy - come from? This is a hard … [Read more...] about Interview with Clare Kell
