It seems we say this every year, but 2017 was another bumper year for the CPN. We've continued to grow in size, now with over 650 members. This year alone we've added 185 new members from 41 countries, thanks, in part, to the work we did at WCPT in Cape Town. The Focused Symposium that we ran was a huge success, and it's fair to say we were all a little surprised by the reception we received. Our one-day post-conference 'Salons' held simultaneously in Cape Town and Cardiff were also great opportunities to grow and support the CPN family. Perhaps the biggest achievement of the year, however, has been the creation of the first ever published collection of critical physiotherapy … [Read more...] about CPN End of Year Report Card
Celebrations over, now back to work
By anyone's estimations, the CPN events at the WCPT Congress in Cape Town this last week were a huge success. First network meet-up: huge grins!
Despite the terrible choice of locations I pre-planned from Australia by looking at an (inaccurate) map of the conference venue, most of the Critical Physiotherapy Network members who were at WCPT 2015 in Singapore were able to meet up during afternoon tea on the second day of the conference. A huge thank you to Carol McCrum for initiating the meet up. An wonderful group of critical minded physiotherapists were present. Names are listed in order of appearance in the picture from left to right: Joan McMeeken, Petronella Van De Merwe, Carol McCrum,Veronika Schoeb (front row of photo), Amy Hiller, Lester Jones, Jenny Setchell, Uffe Holmsgaard Rasmussen, Anita Hartmeier (back row of photo) … [Read more...] about First network meet-up: huge grins!
