Physiotherapists are, by reputation, quite practical, pragmatic, literal people who are generally modest about their work and conservative in their approach to practice. You can see this in the books, journal articles and promotional work that was undertaken by the profession in the 20th century. Depression embodied: an ambiguous striving against fading Louise Danielsson and Susanne Rosberg Although depression is associated to physical discomfort, meanings of the body in depression are rarely addressed in clinical research. Drawing on the concept of the lived body, this study explores depression as an embodied phenomenon.
