Do these two approaches, that of seeking to conceptualize and grasp what is not man-made and that of understanding the man-made aspect, including the limitations and local/cultural diversity at play in human knowledge, need to be mutually exclusive? I prefer to think of them as opposite poles in a dynamic polarity, beyond which we will never get, but at the same time both of which we have to include in the picture.
